This former church now gives
its praise to drinking and style. Rather than, 5 loafs give way to 5 different
types of rum, 9 vodkas and less than 13 whiskies.
The interior is not only divine by tasteful given its previous use.
Whilst the main bar area at the Pitcher & Piano is spacious, the upstairs and
side booths provide an intimate setting.
The Pitcher and Piano, Nottingham is a bar with character, lots of character,
charm and style. Stain glass windows, stone arches, and wooden floors all give
the Pitcher & Piano a unique and relaxing look, that lends itself to speed
dating.
Thankfully the pews have been replaced with leather sofas and chairs.
This bar is modern, trendy, comfortable and spacious, containing two levels
where customers can find a space to relax. Perhaps the most appealing aspect of
this venue is that its drinks menu is adventurous and extensive without the
steep price tag often found in other similar establishments.
On draught, the classics such as Fosters, Kronenberg and Amstel can be
purchased, whereas the less commonly sold beers such as Hoegaarden are available
in bottled form.
The cocktail list is much wider than any of the other bars in the area,
including champagne, classic and summer varieties, they are averagely but
acceptably priced.
The food menu further accentuates the relaxed and yet sophisticated vibe,
serving classic pub dishes with a twist.
Overall, a very pleasant place to go, that is equally appropriate for lunch,
after work drinks or a relaxed night out and of course speeddating.

Speed Dating Nottingham Explained
· First you will need to sign up with us; this can be as simple as giving an email address or mobile phone number. After this you can then purchase your speed dating tickets. Upon completion you will receive an email from us detailing your speed dating in Nottingham venue. · You then have the opportunity to upload a picture of yourself to our website (this will help people remember you after you've been speed dating). · When you arrive at your chosen venue you will be given a number by one of our hosts; this is your ID. Everyone who attends the event will have their own number; 1-20 for the gents and 1-20 for the ladies. · When everyone has arrived and is ready, the host will direct you to the correct table. This will have the same number placed upon it as the one assigned to you upon your arrival at the venue. · The start of the Speed Dating begins when a bell is sounded, at which point you will have four minutes to charm and talk to the person also sat at your table. · The bell rings at the end of the 4 minutes of speed dating. You then need to write down what you thought of the person, their number and tick them if you like them. Then either the girls or guys will move on to the next table number (e.g. 4>5, 20>1). · About half way through the speed dating you can have a break for that much needed drink! · After the speed dating event itself you are welcome to relax at the venue, get another drink and spark up a few of those conversations you were having. · The next morning you'll receive an email or text from us informing you that our speed dating system is unlocked. You'll then be able to go online, enter all your ticks and see photos of the people you met the night before (you can always go back in and add more ticks). · If you tick a person and they also tick you, you will ‘match’ and a text (or email, if you stated this as a preference while registering with the site) will be sent to inform you. You will notified of their phone number or email address and vice versa. From there, it's over to you to get in touch, meet up and to have fun!
